ROT Deduction
What is ROT Deduction?

How Does It Work?
When you hire a handyman or construction company for renovation or repair work on your home, the invoice issuer claim in your name a deduction on due amout based on a 50% of the labor costs.

ROT deductions cover a wide range of services related to home improvement, including renovations, construction, plumbing, electrical work, and more.
Benefits for Clients
Clients benefit from the ROT deduction by reducing the overall cost of home improvements and repairs. It encourages homeowners to invest in the maintenance and enhancement of their properties.
Residents of Sweden can benefit from SEK 75,000 per person per year. The ROT deduction is a maximum of SEK 50,000 per person per year. In total, a private person can receive SEK 75,000 in ROT and RUT deductions per year. In the case of services covered by the ROT deduction, the service recipient must also be the owner of the property to which the service relates.
